I like David’s statement about the series of pictures (titled, Untitled) too:

“As a kid I spent my summers on a boat; surrounded by the ocean. My Father’s love for the ocean was passed on to me. He died when I was a sophomore in high school, since then I feel an even stronger attachment to the ocean.
I am interested in the way light and color blend with the changing shapes of the water and how these elements combined can create a variety of emotions. The photographs are straight forward and from a similar height and view point. Similar to standing on a boardwalk, dock or boat and looking down at the water beneath you. The locations of the photographs are left unidentified. The unknown location and vantage point allows for the viewer to interact with the photograph. They are able to bring their own personal associations to the photograph and experience the emotional qualities of the water.”
